ALSA CHESTER HOWARD PAPERS

            This collection contains the papers of Alsa Chester Howard.  Born March 7, 1884 in Moreland, Pope County, Arkansas, Howard enlisted in the Army in 1905 and served for the next 32 years.  During this time, he received a B.S. and Masters degree from Columbia University in 1919 and 1942, respectively.

 

            Howard was an active mason and was instrumental in establishing Masonic chapter around the world.

 

            Alsa Chester Howard died February 27, 1955.
