This collection consists of materials relating to the history of the Effie Finley Garden Club. The materials consist of a copy of the club's constitution, and three scrapbooks which contain articles concerning the club's activities.
The Effie Finley Garden Club was organized in Pine Bluff on February 14, 1935 as a club for women who were interested in gardening and horticulture. The group's main goals were stimulating knowledge of gardening among amateurs, aiding in the protection of native trees and plants, and encouraging civic planting.
