It was only six months after that his new wife convinced him to enter into private Practice of medicine in Little Rock. Their family Physician was Dr. Caleb E. Witt, a cousin of Mrs. Little. Dr. Witt was prominent in Little Rock medical Circles as he had organized and had built the First Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He delivered the Couple's first two children, Paul II and Jess Edward Little, Jr.
Dr. Witt was born in Humbolt, Gibson, Tenn. and moved with family while still a child, to Portia, AR. Circa 1868. The Little family moved to his hometown of Greenwood, AR in 1921, set up the private practice of medicine and purchased The Greenwood Democrat weekly newspaper. When "the great fire" at Greenwood destroyed the north and east sides of the town square, including his newspaper and medical offices, Dr. Little decided to accept a "Standing offer" to become a member of Dr. Charles Holt's newly formed Holt Clinic in Fort Smith, later named the Holt-Krock Clinic.
